This project provides a new twist on an old concept in the on-going, global development of reducing hull friction with air bubbles known as "air-lubricated hull technology" Our client has creatively sought to apply a "secret resource" of general marine propulsion to this elusive but common sense idea for a more efficient marine propulsion system. The idea involves a systemic application and re-arrangement of conventional propulsion layout. This innovation is being explored and we are excited to be part of the ideas potential validation. Presently we are building a 1/24th scale all composite tow tank hull model. The model includes electric drives, surface propellers ducting and narrow hull channels to facilitate the various aspects of the system.
UNO Test Tank Facility: We have been in preliminary discussions with UNO and other Test Tank Facilities to bring this dynamic test model for evaluation and test data collection.
