New GTH construction progress:

Unlike the first GTH we are preparing a precision plug of the new GTH gull wing, sleek and winds wept body. A ridged mould will be cast from this plug and high quality body shells will be laid up using the most advanced, lightweight composite materials and foam cores.

A sneak peak at the latest GTH body plug wrapped for transit to FRP shop:

The Original GTH can now can be built by any do-it-yourself person with some Fiberglas experience and wood working skills. Plans are available Here, Take a look at the following process we developed to put together the original mould-less GTH using only flat panels and stripes of C-Flex for the small amount of radius edges.

Full size templates were used to cut out the ten (10) exterior body panels and four (4) hull bottom panels.

Temporary frames were aligned and mounted to the prepared hull bottom.

Those critical topside rolled edges were then formed with a base of C-flex and fiberglassed.

Interior bulkheads and fan box panels installed and fiberglassed into the shell.

A standard Chevy Camaro rear windshield is a perfect fit for the sleek body and easy to find.

Engine framing and bracket installed, engine, systems and props on.

Skirt is pre-made and attached directly to the hull bottom, test the seal for a smooth fit.

Heat moulded plexiglass doors and your interior installed, ready for surface skimming adventure.
