Object's latest project has been commissioned by The Maritime
Pilots Institute. This world-class mariner training facility
already has the most sophisticated full bridge simulator of which
Industrial Object also did the design, engineering and construction
drawing. When MPI decided to expand the training facility to
include a "Manned Model" course they set-out for the
very largest ship of which to base the 1:25 th scale manned model.
Similar "Port Revel" model ship training
with tugs.
Industrial Object has done its industrial design magic
to create a scale "Suez Max" Carrier. This rugged aluminium
training craft remains a respecticle 36' in length at 1:25th
of the original!
The keel for this one-of-a-kind ship trainer was laid
at Blackfin Towers, aluminium fabrication shop on October 8th
2008 and is already shaping up to become one healthy super-trainer.
The design package is being template cut from the 3/D model files.
Pre-bending all major plate components is allowing this welded
structure to form up quickly and accurately.
